Tomorrow evening, millions of U.S. homes, 2,200 businesses, 45 landmarks and 30 States will turn off non-essential lights in commemoration of Earth Hour. This event is meant to bring awareness to the environmental movement, encouraging individuals to recognize their power to make a difference. Last year, 4,000 cities across 47 countries turned the lights off in official buildings, and event organizers hope that number will increase this year, making an even larger impact for environmental awareness.
