There are increasing signs that residential green building and remodeling are speeding into the mainstream as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) prepares to cut the ribbon at the 12th annual NAHB National Green Building Conference. During the conference Tour of Homes on May 17, attendees will see the depth and breadth of sustainable design and construction in and around Raleigh, N.C., where this year’s event is being held. Projects range from a workforce housing development to a “bells and whistles,” high-end green custom home – and everything in between.
